Crossfire

Crossfire Vineyard features only white varieties of wine grapes and is one of four of our vineyards in The Rocks District of Milton-Freewater, which is renowned for its cobblestone-rich gravels deposited by the Walla Walla River. The cobblestones consist entirely of basalt, a dark-colored volcanic rock. One of the most distinctive appellations in the world, The Rocks has tightly drawn borders of 5.9 square miles with a singular soil type, resulting in wines of distinction with complex flavor profiles.

About the name:
Inspired by viticulturist Matías Kúsulas’s love of skydiving, Crossfire shares its name with a precision‑engineered, high‑performance skydiving parachute. The name adds a modern, personal layer to the vineyard’s identity, echoing both Matías’s adventurous spirit and the focus and finesse required in the vineyard.
