Forcefield
Forcefield features only Cabernet Franc and is one of four of our vineyards in The Rocks District of Milton-Freewater, which is renowned for its cobblestone-rich gravels deposited by the Walla Walla River. The cobblestones consist entirely of basalt, a dark-colored volcanic rock. One of the most distinctive appellations in the world, The Rocks has tightly drawn borders of 5.9 square miles with a singular soil type, resulting in wines of distinction with complex flavor profiles.

About the name:
Drawn simply to the power of the name, viticulturist Matías Kúsulas selected Force Field for this site planted exclusively to Cabernet Franc. The name carries an energetic, almost magnetic quality—an echo of the vineyard’s natural tension, precision, and the distinctive varietal expression that emerges from this focused planting.
