Lawrence Vineyards
The Lawrence family has been farming the Royal Slope for more than half a century, working the land, learning its rhythms, and growing everything from wheat to forages to apples and cherries before we expanded the operation to include wine grapes in 2003. That deep farming foundation is still at the core of everything we do.
Today, we are a certified‑sustainably farmed vineyard operation spanning 13 sites across 645 acres and three AVAs: Royal Slope, Columbia Valley, and The Rocks District of Milton‑Freewater. Our estate vineyards are the result of decades of hands‑on experience with this land: choosing the right sites, nurturing the soils, and farming with intention. Every block is planted, tended, and harvested with the same care that built the family farm—because great wine starts with great farming.

Royal Slope AVA
One of Washington’s most exciting young regions, defined by its sweeping south‑facing slope, balanced growing season, and striking mix of sand, silt, and basalt. With elevations ranging from 610 to over 1,700 feet, the Royal Slope offers long daylight hours, cool nights, and a natural elegance in the fruit it produces. It’s a place where precision farming meets expressive terroir—home to some of the state’s most nuanced whites and beautifully structured reds. A landscape of orchards, grains, and vineyards, the Royal Slope carries a quiet confidence: a region still writing its story, but already producing wines that feel timeless.

Corfu Crossing
Rising to 1,675 feet, Corfu Crossing combines some of Lawrence Vineyards’ oldest plantings with a growing collection of distinctive varieties, from Vermentino and Verdejo to Nebbiolo and Sangiovese. The site is known for energetic wines with freshness and mineral drive.

Scarline
Scarline features a narrow band of shallow, sandy-loam soil cutting across the hillside, producing structured red wines with impressive layers and definition.

Solaksen
Solaksen’s angled slopes and varied exposures create a wide range of growing conditions within one vineyard. The site continues to evolve, with both red and white plantings and Lawrence Vineyards’ first Pinot Noir block.

La Reyna Blanca
La Reyna Blanca sits near the top of the Frenchman Hills, where off-axis rows and distinctive clonal selections shape its growing conditions. Dedicated entirely to white varieties, the site produces polished, pure wines, including Washington’s first 100-point white wine.

Laura Lee
Laura Lee’s gentle slopes and shallow, caliche-rich soils at one of Lawrence Vineyards’ lowest-elevation sites produce vibrant wines with remarkable elegance.

Thunderstone
Thunderstone is defined by deep sandy-loam soils and an off-axis row orientation. Its predominantly red plantings produce powerful, lush wines with volume, richness, and mature structure.

Stoneridge
The cobbly soils and warm growing conditions at Stoneridge create concentrated wines with savory character and layered complexity. The site is also the source of the first Washington wine to receive a perfect score from Wine Enthusiast.

Boneyard
Set on a southwest-facing slope overlooking Royal City, Boneyard is planted entirely to Syrah in deep, sandy soils. The vigorous vines produce dark, concentrated wines with savory depth and unmistakable umami character.
Columbia Valley AVA
Washington’s broadest canvas—an expansive, diverse growing region that stretches across desert hills, river‑carved basalt, and wind‑shaped plateaus. With its wide range of elevations, soils, and microclimates, the Columbia Valley is a study in possibility. Here, winemakers can craft everything from crisp, aromatic whites to bold, age‑worthy reds, each shaped by the valley’s signature combination of sunshine, cool nights, and ancient volcanic soils. It’s the foundation of Washington wine: vast, varied, and endlessly expressive.

Conner Lee
One of the most highly regarded and recognized vineyards in Washington state, first planted in 1980 under the careful instruction of Washington State University’s renown viticulturist and researcher, Dr. Walter Clore.
The Rocks District of Milton-Freewater AVA
One of the most distinctive terroirs worldwide—an ancient alluvial fan paved in softball‑sized basalt cobblestones that radiate heat and shape the vines from the ground up. This tiny AVA is known for wines with unmistakable personality: savory, earthy, textural, and deeply aromatic. Farming here is both a challenge and a privilege, with the stones demanding meticulous work but rewarding it with wines that speak in a voice all their own. The Rocks District is Washington and Oregon’s shared gem—raw, character‑driven, and unforgettable.

Icarus
Icarus is planted to red Rhône varieties in the ancient alluvial soils and volcanic basalt cobblestones that define the Rocks District. The site produces savory, refined wines with layered depth and a pronounced mineral character.

Crossfire
Crossfire is planted to white Rhône varieties in the distinctive cobblestone soils of the Rocks District. The site produces intensely aromatic wines that balance savory character with vibrant freshness and mineral energy.

Forcefield
Forcefield is dedicated to Cabernet Franc clones planted in ancient alluvial soils covered by volcanic basalt cobblestones. This distinct vineyard produces savory, highly textured wines with beautiful herbal tones and very fine tannins.
Our vineyards are the foundation of everything we do—shaped by climate, soil, and the hands that farm them. From the first plantings in 2003 to today’s 13 estate sites across three AVAs, our focus has remained the same: grow exceptional fruit through sustainable, thoughtful and innovative viticulture.
Every block is farmed with intention, every decision made with the vintage in mind. Together with Matías and our vineyard team, we continue to explore, refine, and honor the land that defines our wines. It’s our privilege to share these sites—and the wines they inspire—with you.
